cab color

i have some 210's that are black in color, and some that are..'on the road grey' anyone have an idea when this change in color occured? can i use this as a means of dating my cabs?

also on the black 210's..i crawled inside them from the bottom and was able to retreive all the old bolts. the back panel, once removed, had a felt gasket to help seal it,the newer ones dont. and around the speaker holes on the bottom , you can see where the woofers had dripped some of the resin that holds the surround..still sticky!pretty cool ol' cabs and the kinda dominate the living room

was wondering here, the older black 210 cabinets, compared to the newer 'on the road grey' cabinets.. the older cabs have the top portion of the horn sealed off, while the newer ones are open. sonically how will this affect?
